Happy Mother’s Day! Dental Health Tips for New or Pregnant Moms
Dental Considerations For New Or Pregnant Moms
Noble Smiles Dentistry would like to wish all moms a very happy Mother’s Day. We would like to remind you how grateful we are for all of the sacrifices that you make on a daily basis for your family. We know it’s sometimes a thankless job, so we want to make sure you know how much you’re appreciated.
Here are a few thoughts and reminders for you as you’re caring for your baby.
If you’re a new mom, be sure to take your baby to the dentist no later than his or her first birthday. You want to give your baby’s smile a healthy start.
If you’re pregnant be sure to:
- Eat foods that are healthy for you and your baby. The foods you eat during your pregnancy affect the growth of the fetus and the health of your baby’s teeth.
- During your pregnancy, your baby’s teeth begin to form. They need plenty of vitamins, minerals such as vitamins A, C and D, protein, calcium and phosphorous.
- The calcium your baby needs will be provided by the foods that you eat. If you don’t get enough calcium from your diet, your baby will require calcium from your bones. Be sure to consume at least three servings of dairy products per day.
- Make an appointment with Noble Smiles Dentistry to discuss all of your concerns as a new (we offer pediatric dentistry) or pregnant mom. We will care for all of your dental needs as you journey toward dental health for you and your family.
